We hereby affirm and declare:

General Guidelines

  • Students and schools must maintain academic integrity throughout the Olympiad.
  • Any malpractice (including cheating, impersonation, or unfair means) may lead to disqualification or cancellation of participation.
  • Registration fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Level 1 will be conducted within school premises. Only the top 20% performers will qualify for Level 2.
  • Qualified students must pay the applicable fee (₹125 per Olympiad) to participate in Level 2.
  • The Tech & AI Olympiad will be conducted online by default. Students must have access to a laptop/PC with a functional webcam and an active internet connection. Failure to meet these requirements may result in cancellation of the exam without any refund.
  • Schools are responsible for ensuring students appear only for subjects they originally registered for.

1. General Terms

  • 1.1 The National Olympiads by Amar Ujala (AUNO) is a voluntary academic competition.
  • 1.2 By registering, students and schools agree to all terms published on: https://amarujalaolympiad.com/
  • 1.3 State-level awards apply only to: UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Rest of India (combined category). Minimum participation per class per subject must exceed 50 students; otherwise, no state award will be granted.
  • 1.4 Dashboard access for results will be available for a limited period (typically 15 days) after result publication.
  • 1.5 Data Protection Affirmation (DPDP Act, 2023): By participating, students (or their guardians) and schools consent to the collection, processing, storage, and use of personal data (including names, contact details, images, performance data, Aadhaar/school ID) for administration, results, awards, communication, and educational promotion. Data will be handled in compliance with applicable laws, and consent may be withdrawn by contacting Amar Ujala.

2. Examination Conduct

  • 2.1 Level 1 will be conducted in schools; only the top 20% performers will proceed to Level 2.
  • 2.2 Students must strictly follow all examination rules and instructions.
  • 2.3 Tie-breaking criteria will include accuracy, number of attempted questions, sectional performance, Level 1 Performance and age (date of birth). Additional parameters may be applied if required.
  • 2.4 Amar Ujala may request school ID or Aadhaar for verification during result finalization.
  • 2.5 Schools are responsible for ensuring correct filling of OMR sheets. Any mismatch may result in non-declaration of results.
  • 2.6 For the Tech & AI Olympiad (online mode), students must ensure: ○ Use of a laptop/PC only (mobile devices not permitted) ○ A working and functional webcam throughout the examination ○ A stable and active internet connection Non-compliance with these requirements may lead to exam cancellation without refund.

3. Awards and Recognition

  • 3.1 Awards are merit-based and non-transferable.
  • 3.2 If a student wins multiple awards, only the highest applicable award will be granted.
  • 3.3 Students achieving national rank in multiple subjects will receive only one national-level award.
  • 3.4 In case of identical rank and age, awards/prize amounts will be equally distributed, with medals and certificates provided.
  • 3.5 Champion Award - International Tour (European Space Center Visit): Eligibility includes:
    • Class 3-10
    • Participation in Tech & AI + any 4 Olympiads in Level 1
    • Qualification in Tech & AI + any 4 Olympiads for Level 2
    • Above 98th percentile after Level 2
    • If the tour is declined/unavailable, a ₹3,00,000 cash alternative (TDS applicable) will be provided

4. Participation Guidelines

  • 4.1 Students must appear only for registered subjects.
  • 4.2 Unauthorized subject changes may lead to result cancellation.
  • 4.3 If a school changes a student's subject:
    • The student will be marked absent for the original subject
    • The new subject will be treated as a fresh registration.
    • Additional payment will be required for results.

5. Complaints and Disputes

  • 5.1 All grievances must be emailed to contact@amarujalaolympiad.com within 10 days of the examination.
  • 5.2 Amar Ujala reserves the right to resolve disputes at its sole discretion. Decisions will be final and binding.

6. Liability

  • 6.1 Amar Ujala is not responsible for logistical, technical, or physical issues occurring at schools or examination centers.
  • 6.2 Amar Ujala is not responsible for technical failures arising from a student’s device, internet connectivity, or system incompatibility during online examinations.
  • 6.3 Schools and participants are responsible for regularly checking updates, schedules, and notifications on the website/dashboard. Amar Ujala is not liable for missed communications due to negligence.

7. Use of Data and Communication

  • 7.1 Amar Ujala and its associates may contact students, parents, or schools via calls, SMS, WhatsApp, email, or notifications.
  • 7.2 Amar Ujala may use examination and felicitation images for documentation and promotional purposes across digital, print, and on-ground platforms.

8. OMR Sheet Guidelines

  • 8.1 All fields must be filled accurately.
  • 8.2 Any discrepancy may result in non-declaration of results.

9. Amendments

  • 9.1 Amar Ujala reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.
  • 9.2 All updates will be communicated via the official website and relevant channels.
